What can organisers expect from Home & Away Gaming?
Organisers can expect checked team members, annually PAT-tested electrical equipment, age-aware game selection, advance venue planning and a hosted service from arrival through to pack-down. We confirm the practical details before each booking and adapt the setup to the agreed space.

DBS-checked team members
Every member of our event team is DBS checked. Our staff are experienced in working around children and are expected to behave in a friendly, respectful and professional manner at schools, family parties and community venues.
We host and operate the gaming activities. Parents, schools and venue organisers should still follow their own safeguarding procedures and retain their usual responsibility for attendees.

Annual PAT testing and routine equipment checks
Our electrical equipment is professionally PAT tested every year. Consoles, screens, extension leads, controllers and accessories are also inspected and maintained as part of preparing reliable equipment for events.
- Electrical equipment is included in the annual testing programme.
- Equipment condition is checked as part of event preparation.
- Cables are positioned with the agreed venue layout in mind.
- Drinks and food should remain away from electrical equipment.
- Outdoor equipment requires suitable weather protection and conditions.

Age-appropriate game selection
Not every game is suitable for every audience. We consider the ages of the children or guests attending and can adapt game selection when a parent, school or organiser has particular preferences or restrictions.

A setup adapted to the agreed venue
Classrooms, halls, private homes and outdoor event spaces all present different practical conditions. We discuss the available space beforehand so the equipment can be planned around access, power, guest movement and the selected package.

Hosted from setup to pack-down
We deliver and install the selected gaming setup, support the activities during the booked session and remove the equipment afterwards. School staff and organisers are not expected to operate the consoles or manage the technical setup.
Our team manages the gaming equipment and activity flow, while the venue or organiser continues handling its normal pastoral, safeguarding and site responsibilities.

Organised, fair participation
During hosted group events, we help games run smoothly and encourage fair turns so more attendees can participate. The exact format can be adjusted for the group, equipment and timetable.
